You can choose from a variety of steaks that are served with onion rings, tomato and mushrooms. We also offer plenty of fish dishes that include sea bass and many sumptuous vegetarian meals.

The tasty, home cooked food at The Blue House, is served on:

Monday to Thursday - 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm & 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Friday - 12 noon to 2.00 and 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm
Saturday - 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm
Sunday - 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm

You can relax and unwind in our welcoming country pub in the beautiful rural setting of Haswell, Co. Durham.

Just had Sunday lunch here at the blue house. Me and my wife never booked, but the helpful staff fitted us in even though it was quite busy. I have eaten here before but for evening meals, we ordered 2 roast beef dinners and only had to wait 5 minutes. It was worth the wait, the meat was beautifully cooked with plenty of vegetables. We were treated nicely by the chef and the food was not too overcooked. At £16 for 2 meals, you understand why the place was so busy. We will definitely return, keep up the good work.
